A new book to help you transform your body shape, energy and health has been launched by a Glossop performance and health specialist.
Dr Tom Little, who has recently become Head of Performance at Sheffield United Football Club, will see his book called The Colour Fit Method hit the bookshelves on Thursday (30 June).
Tom has worked in the work of pro sport for over 20 years and wanted to bring that knowledge to a wider audience. He contacted a publishing agent who loved the concept, as did the publisher.
“All of a sudden, I had a contract and originally just a cooking book, but the publishers went for it and wanted to add training in, and it has ended up being an all-encompassing book," Tom told the Chronicle.
It features a revolutionary approach to nutrition and fitness, with recipes and meal plans, alongside multiple tailored training, and nutrition plans to suit a range of goals.
“It has been a long process as Covid got in the way, so it has taken three years,” said Tom, a lifelong Glossop resident.
“It is a really visual book and they have put it together so expertly it has exceeded my expectations.”
A total of 124 recipes have been incorporated into the full-colour book, which also includes a link to separate videos providing a succinct demonstration of each recipe.
“It will give people confidence and motivation to give it ago,” said Tom, a keen fell runner and mountain biker.
The book is available from Dark Peak Books, formerly Bay Tree Books on High Street West in Glossop, and Amazon by clicking here.
Tom will also be at Dark Peak Books for a signing session on Saturday (2 July) from 3pm to 4pm.
