Oakdale School celebrate Halloween with a spooktacular competition

Last week, Oakdale School in Dukinfield (a school known for its commitment to supporting children with severe and complex needs), showcased the creativity of its pupils with a vibrant display of pumpkins.

Each of the school's 16 classes participated in a friendly competition to design the most imaginative pumpkin, with parents and visitors invited to cast their votes for the top creation.

Zoe O'Brien, who organised the event, highlighted the inclusive approach taken by the school, she said: "Some of the children have sensory needs, so we incorporated a variety of textures, including crepe paper and even real vegetables.

Congratulations to all the pupils for their impressive efforts."

The winning entry was the "Light it up Blue for Autism" pumpkin, celebrating the school's dedication to raising awareness about autism.
