Sunday's Old Glossop Christmas Market was a huge success, raising funds for the community, Glossop Mountain Rescue and 3rd Glossop Scouts.
The parish church bells rang out to open the event and highlights included carol singing round the Christmas tree at the Old Cross, and youngsters meeting Father Christmas on his sleigh, courtesy of Glossop Mountain Rescue.
Janet Bingham from Old Glossop Residents Association said: “We were delighted to welcome so many visitors, who were able to buy from more than 30 stalls selling traditional crafts, handmade Christmas gifts and local produce as well as mulled wine and hot food.
“There was a wonderful atmosphere. The FAB Choir had us singing along to modern Christmas classics - and there was traditional Christmas music from Dark Peak Music and Glossop Choral Society. The Milltown Cloggies entertained with theirtraditional dances. The local pubs and vegetarian café Shepley’s, were busy - and visitors were welcome in the church for a sit down and refreshments.
Janet added: "Thanks to everyone who helped to organise the event, the stallholders, Glossop Parish Church and to all those people who came down and supported this wonderful community event."
