On your marks! The Chatsworth 10k is back!

Jessica Wood from Blythe House Hospice

On Sunday September 28, hundreds of runners will once again take part in the Chatsworth 10k to raise money for Blythe House Hospice.

The Hospice provides free care and support to people across the High Peak, and further afield, who are affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. It costs over £2 million every year to fund these services, and as the Hospice receives less than 20% of the income needed from the NHS, it means they must raise the vast majority through fundraising activities such as the Chatsworth 10k.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Chatsworth Estate, this iconic mixed-terrain 10K promises an unforgettable experience for all runners. Alongside the 10km route, there will also be a 3km Fun Run, perfect for children and adults who prefer a shorter distance.

With the early bird offer only available until May 31, runners need to register early to secure their place. Rachael Gee, Blythe House Hospice’s events organiser said “Last year’s Chatsworth 10k was a SELL OUT and this year we’re aiming for it to be bigger and better! The atmosphere is like no other, from a mix of enthusiastic runners to those who may be running to give back to Blythe House Hospice. It’s just such a joy to see the smiles on people's faces supporting such an incredible cause.”

Whether you choose to race, cheer on loved ones, or just want to soak up the atmosphere, there will be plenty to enjoy on the day, including delicious hot food and drinks, a tombola, face-painting and more. You can register by visiting their website, where you can also purchase a limited-edition Chatsworth 10k 2025 running T-shirt: www.blythehousehospice.org.uk/chatsworth-10k

As part of their services, Blythe House Hospice offer advice and support for adults from diagnosis through to bereavement, complementary and physical therapies, support groups, out-patient clinics, and counselling and bereavement support which also includes children. The charity works to ensure that care and support can be accessed by all, with their Hospice at Home service providing end-of-life care in the comfort of patients’ own homes.
