Our latest round-up of plans in the High Peak

We've collated the latest planning applications which have been submitted to, approved by and refused by High Peak Borough Council. 

Combs Sailing Club have applied to install two steel containers to provide the secure storage of canoes, paddle boards and other equipment associated with water-based recreation at Combs Reservoir, Combs Road, Chapel-En-Le-Frith.

Other planning applications submitted include: 

  • A proposal to merge 1 and 3 York Terrace in Glossop into single 5-bedroom dwelling 
  • Change of use of vacant cafe unit to a hot food take-away at 12 High Street East, Glossop 
  • Single storey rear and side extension Rydal Mount, Dale Road, New Mills                 
  • Rear extension to existing house 22 Blackbrook Drive, Chinley      
  • Single storey office extension and detached garage at 92-94 Glossop Road, Gamesley, Glossop 
  • Single Storey Rear and Side Wrap Around Extension 19 Elmfield, Chapel-En-Le-Frith 

The plans are available to view on the council’s website www.highpeak.gov.uk 

Meanwhile, permission has been refused for plans to build a single storey extension to the side and front of Lees Hall Farm, Turnlee Road, Simmondley. 

Plans that have been given the go ahead and approved by the borough council include:  

  • Replacement of UPVC conservatory with timber and glass structure at 11 Highgate Road, Hayfield 
  • Porch extension at Frankson House, Silk Street, Glossop 
  • Single storey extension at the rear of 8 Hurst Crescent, Glossop 
  • First floor extension over existing garage at Mereside Gardens, Whaley Bridge 
  • Prefabricated accessible toilet and shower unit at Black Lane Head Farm, Buxton Road, Chinley
