Healthcare officials in Glossop say that some patients are failing to turn up for their second Covid-19 jabs.
Sharon Snape, PCN Manager at Glossop Primary Care Network, says: "We had 116 patients not turn up yesterday (Thursday) between 8:30am and 12 noon for their second Astra Zeneca vaccine.”
She added: "If you cannot attend please cancel your appointments as we arrange staffing levels against the number of patients that have an allocated appointment.
"We are aware that some patients are having difficulties attending outside work and we have now just arranged a clinic for Wednesday 9 June from 5pm - 8pm.”
People can either use this link https://www.tamesideandglossop.nhsvaccinations.co.uk/ to book a time, or contact their surgery who can book for you, or go to a walk in centre.
Sharon told the Chronicle: “These appointments are just for those patients who have had their second vaccine appointment sent and could not make the appointment offered.”
But some people say they won’t go for the second AZ jab as they suffered side effects from the first one.
Health officials say any side effects should be mild and will not last long.
