Plans for new visitor information trailer in Hayfield approved

Plans for a new visitor information trailer to be sited at a car park in Hayfield have been given the go ahead.

The application by the Hayfield Walkers Are Welcome group has been approved by High Peak Borough Council.

The proposal does not impact on the number of car parking spaces available as the trailer will be sited on a grassed area at the car park.

The site is owned by the Peak District National Park Authority who have given their support to the proposal, as have the parish council. A letter in support of the application was also received by planners.

Two letters from member of the public raising concerns on the location of the visitor centre trailer were also received. Both suggested a more central location would be more appropriate for a visitor centre.

High Peak Borough Council has also approved plans for a two-storey rear extension at 3 Meadow Nook Cottages, Spinnerbottom, Birch Vale.

A number of planning applications have been submitted to High Peak Borough Council.

·         First floor side extension at 10 The Croft, Hadfield.

·         A retrospective application for a ground floor front porch and WC at 8 Eyam Lane, Gamesley.

·         A two-storey and part single storey side extension at 11 Spire Hollin, Glossop.

·         Town End Methodist Church, in Chapel-En-Le-Frith is seeking permission for a greenhouse with polycarbonate glazing.
