Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a street in Glossop in the early hours of the morning.

It happened at around 3am on Saturday 27 May.

Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team say investigations are ongoing and want to hear in particular from members of the public who helped to break up the incident.

No other details have been released by officers, who are also appealing for any CCTV or footage from the area around that time.

Anyone who can help police is asked to get in touch by sending a message to the Derbyshire Constabulary Facebook page or the contact centre on Twitter via @DerPolContact, calling 101 or reporting it online at https://www.derbyshire.police.uk

People should also quote occurrence reference 23*324213 and the officer in the case PC 15437 Thomas.

You can also report information anonymously by contacting the independent charity CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111, or by visiting the CrimeStoppers website.
