Police appeal after car damaged in Whaley Bridge

Police are appealing for information after a collision in which a car was damaged in Whaley Bridge.

A woman had parked her black Ford Fiesta close to the church in Whaley Lane at around 6.40pm on 16 October and was helping her son out of the car.

A car then drove past and collided with the Fiesta, ripping the front passenger side door off.

Police say the car failed to stop following the incident.

Buxton Police Safer Neighbourhood Team say they are keen to hear from anyone who was driving nearby with dash cam installed around this time, as it may have captured the incident.

Anyone with information or who noticed a car in the area with substantial front end damage should contact police, quoting reference 21*604189.
