Eleven drivers will receive letters of advice after police carried out a 'speed watch' at the bottom of the Snake Pass in Glossop.
PCSOs Brian Buller and Kyle Harvey, from Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team, were on Sheffield Road on Monday afternoon (1 March) between 3pm and 4pm.
The speed limit on that stretch of the A57 is 30 miles per hour.
A total of 273 vehicles went past during the hour - 11 of which were recorded driving at speeds of 36 mph and above.
Glossop Police SNT said: "On this occasion the drivers/registered keepers of those 11 will receive letters of advice – outlining their speeding in Glossop.
"We ask all people to stick to the speed limit and respect our town and its residents."
