Police are investigating an arson attack where a house in Gamesley was targeted.
It happened on Combs Terrace at around 11.30pm last Saturday evening (6 March).
Police say a glass bottle, containing a rag, had been set on fire and thrown at the window of a house.
Officers and fire crews rushed to the scene, where the bottle was found outside the property with the flame extinguished.
A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson added that a window was smashed but nobody was injured.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious to get in touch.
Officers also want to speak to anyone who has private CCTV installed nearby, which may have captured the incident.
