Nine more drivers will receive letters of advice about speeding after police held another 'speed watch' on a busy Glossop road at the bottom of the Snake Pass.
PCSOs Benjamin Morris and Tracy Jones, from Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team, were monitoring vehicles on Sheffield Road on Thursday afternoon (25 March) between 2pm and 3pm.
The speed limit on that stretch of the A57 is 30 miles per hour and, during the hour, some 236 vehicles passed the two officers.
Of those, nine were recorded driving at speeds in excess of 36mph and the registered keepers of the vehicles will receive letters in the post outlining their speeding.
Glossop Police SNT said: "We ask all people to stick to the speed limit and respect our town and local residents."
It's the second speed awareness event to be carried out on Sheffield Road this month, after 11 vehicles were found to be speeding by officers on 1 March.
