Police seek men after burglaries in Glossop and Chapel

Police believe a series of burglaries in the High Peak last month could have been committed by people travelling from the Greater Manchester area. 

In the early hours of Tuesday 17 March, there were attempted burglaries at homes in Astell Way and Sovereign Way in Chapel-en-le-Frith. 

Then, a house on Hurst Crescent in Glossop was burgled. The back door was broken into and a set of keys were stolen, before a VW Tiguan was taken from the drive. 

Some time later, another house on Hurst Crescent was targeted and a Peugeot car was stolen. 

Police investigating the break-ins and attempted break-ins, which they believe to be linked, have released CCTV footage of men they would like to speak in connection with these crimes. 

It shows vehicles and people in Hurst Crescent that morning. They are keen to trace the people pictured in the footage, which you can watch at the top of the page. 

Police are investigating the possibility that those responsible could have travelled from further afield, potentially somewhere in Greater Manchester.
