Police seek to identify armed robbers in Simmondley

Detectives investigating an armed robbery at the Co-op store in Simmondley are appealing for the public's help to identify the three men who carried it out.

The masked men threatened staff with knives before making off with a significant amount of cash and a large amount of cigarettes.

It happened at the Pennine Road store just before it closed on Saturday, March 7, at around 10.55pm.

Police say officers have been making enquiries and following a number of leads since it happened.

Detectives are now releasing images of the men involved, who had Mancunian accents, in the hope that people may recognise the clothing they are wearing.
