A bid to breathe new life into a ruined New Mills chapel has gone to High Peak Borough Council for planning permission.
Carolyn Bannister is applying to convert Mount Pleasant on Spring Bank, into Class E Business use on the ground floor and two dwellings on the ground.
The demolition would include the unsafe elements of the building, including the remains of the roof, rear chimney and the top of the walls to the rear of the Sunday school building.
There are also plans for the rear wall of the chapel building to enable construction access and clearing the buildings of scrub from parts damaged by a fire.
