Plans to bring a landmark High Peak pub back to its former glory have been given the go-ahead by the borough council.
It has granted applicant John Middleton planning permission and listed building consent to restore The Jodrell Arms Hotel, at 39 Market Street, Whaley Bridge.
Work to the historically significant Grade 2 listed building will mean demolition and modifications to the internal layout and changes to the fenestrations and the external flight of stone steps.
The aim is to create an ‘active’ public house with guest accommodation above.
