Quiz raises vital funds for foodbank

A fun quiz packed out Glossop Labour Club on Saturday night to raise hundreds of pounds for Glossopdale Foodbank.

All teams had an enjoyable night answering questions, while there was also a raffle and a buffet supper during the interval.

Although the final amount is yet to be determined, the evening has raised over £500 for the foodbank.

The foodbank said in a statement: “A massive thank you to everyone who came to our Quiz Night and made it such a successful and fun night.

“Over £500 was raised for Glossopdale Foodbank, which is fantastic and will go towards supporting those in the local area experiencing food crisis. A special thank you goes to everyone who helped to arrange the night and to Sarah who was a great Quiz Master.”

Glossopdale Foodbank say they plan to hold another quiz night next year.
