New windows rejected

Plans to replace windows at a Grade II listed stone cottage in Hadfield have been refused by High Peak Borough Council.

The proposals for the property at 66 Hadfield Road were to replace all the windows with double glazed units in painted wood.

However, the application was turned down as the detailing of the proposed windows failed to respect the special interest and historic character of the Listed Building.

The plans are available to view on the council’s website www.highpeak.gov.uk
