Plans for new homes in Dinting and a Glossop takeaway's request for extended opening hours feature in our latest round-up of planning applications across the High Peak.
A number of planning applications have been submitted lately to High Peak Borough Council, which include:
- Front and rear single storey extensions at 6 South View, New Mills
- Demolition of existing upvc rear extension and construction of new rear/side extension at 112 Lee Mount, Charlestown Road, Glossop
- Single storey rear extension at New Cottage, Hobroyd, Glossop
- Revised scheme for a previously approved proposal for a single storey rear extension at 26 The Croft, Hadfield, Glossop
Nine new homes for Dinting
Plans for nine new homes to be built in Higher Dinting have been submitted to High Peak Borough Council.
PCW Developments Ltd have put forward the application for eight three-bedroomed semi-detached properties and a single four bedroomed detached property on the site on Dinting Road/Dinting Lane.
Plans approved
Plans that have been given the go ahead and granted permission by High Peak Borough Council include:
- First floor extension over garage at 12 Spring Rise, Simmondley, Glossop
- Change of use of agricultural buildings to one dwelling house at Castle Edge Farm, Castle Edge Road, New Mills
- Single storey extension at 19 Speedwell, Tintwistle
- A new free-standing noticeboard at St Georges Parish Church, Church Lane, New Mills
Plans refused
Plans for a two-storey side extension above an existing garage at a property in Hadfield have been refused by High Peak Borough Council.
The proposals for 3 Lawnfold have been rejected as it would harm the character and appearance of the existing house and the immediate uniform character of the street scene.
The development would also result in a loss of sunlight and have an overbearing impact on the garden area of a neighbouring property.
Takeaway wants later opening
Customer requests has prompted a Glossop takeaway to apply for extended opening hours on Friday and Saturday nights.
Victoria Pizza Ltd has submitted an application to High Peak Borough Council for permission to open until 3.15am on Friday and Saturday nights.
The takeaway at 11 Victoria Street currently has permission to open until midnight on those nights but stated there is demand in the area to stay open later, and a night club next door, which is open until 3am.
All of the planning applications are available to view on the council’s website at www.highpeak.gov.uk
