Plans at former vicarage rejected
An application to build a porch extension, a new detached garage, and a shed at the Old Vicarage in Tintwistle has been turned down by High Peak Borough Council planners.
The proposals for 10 Church Street in Tintwistle were refused as they would be inappropriate within the historic context of the site due to their form, design, bulk, scale, and massing.
A report rejecting the application stated the development would fail to reserve or enhance the character of the Conservation Area and detract from the special character of the setting adjacent to the Grade II listed Tintwistle Christ Church.
