Glossop Mountain Rescue Team's Santa will be climbing into his sleigh and visiting communities across Glossopdale this month. 

From Sunday, December 12 through to Tuesday, December 21, Santa’s sleigh will be visiting different areas from 6.30pm each evening.

The routes have been carefully planned out and include as many streets as possible. 

Sunday, December 12 - Hadfield North, Padfield and Tintwistle: Hadfield Station, Malvern Rise, Platt Street, Post Street, Temple Street, Padfield Main Road, Brosscroft, Vale House Drive, Bankbottom, Waterside, The Croft. Peter Street, Goddard Lane, New Road, Torside Street, Conduit Street, West Drive, Manchester Road, Old Road (Tintwistle). 

Monday, December 13 ​- Hadfield: Hadfield Station, Station Road, Bank Street, Wesley Street, Kiln Lane, Old Hall Square, Chapel Lane, Ridings Road, Mersey Bank Road, Etherow Way, John Dalton Street, Wooley Bridge Road, Watkin Avenue, Hadfield Road, Higher Barn Road including  Brook Road, Green Lane, Newlands Drive, Newshaw Lane, Church Street, Hadfield Road, South Marlow Street, Queen Street, Stanyforth Street, Railway Street. 

Tuesday, December 14 - Hadfield South: Shaw Lane, Shawfield Road, Oakfield Road, Newshaw Lane, Thorncliffe Roar, Lower Barn Road inclusing Pinfold, Tavern Road. 

Wednesday, December 15 - Shirebrook Park: Glossop Market Car Park; High Street East, Milltown, High Street East, Shirebrook Drive, Croft Manor, Shirebrook Drive, Carr Bank, Hurst Crescent including Plover Close, Mayflower Close, Scotty Brook Crescent, Shirebrook Drive, Leicester Drive, Shropshire Drive, Hampshire Close, Hathersage Drive, Hillwood Drive. 

Thursday, December 16 - Simmondley North: including Primrose Lane, Reliance Garage, Turnlee Road including Turnlee Drive, Earls Way and Overdale Drive, Primrose Lane including Brookside and Longclough Drive, Simmondley Lane, Bowland Road including Burwell, Pennine Road, Woodlea Road, Brooklands Drive. 

Friday, December 17 - Old Glossop: Glossop Market car park, Ellison Street, Norfolk Street, King Edward Avenue, Norfolk Street, Hall Meadow Road, Church Street, Thorpe Street, Bute Street, Blackshaw Road, Hope Street, Shepley Sreet inclusing Mossly Lea Drive, Manor Park Road, Sheffield Road, Woodcock Grove, Sunnngdale Drive, Pyegrove, Queens Drive.

Tuesday, December 21 - South Glossop: Pikes Lane and Whitfield: Glossop Market car park; Victoria Street, St Mary’s Road; Shaw Street, Sumner Street, Tredcroft Street, Pikes Lane, Sunlaws Street, High Street West, Queen Street, Pikes Lane, Princess Street, Mount Street, Hadfield Place, James Street, Hadfield Street, John Street, Hollin Cross Lane, Charlestown Road, Whitfield Avenue, Hague Street, Whitfield Cross, Gladstone Street, Wood Street, Kershaw Street, King Street, Union Street, Collier Street. 

Santa’s Sleigh will also be at the Old Glossop Fair on Sunday, December 5, at Glossop Garden Centre on Saturday, December 11, and at Norfolk Square on Saturday, December 18.
