Around 250 items of school uniform and shoes were given out to the local community at a 'pop-up shop' in Gamesley.
It was held on Monday afternoon (16 August) at Cafe Jericho by The Hummingbird Hubs, which supports people affected by poverty, homelessness and austerity.
The aim was to allow parents to swap their child's uniforms for the next size up ready for the new academic year in September.
There will be another event on Sunday (22 August) at the old Glossop library in Victoria Hall.
Jo Gregory, from The Hummingbird Hubs, said: "A great event offering free uniform for the Gamesley residents.
"Huge thanks to our volunteers who helped us, and to Hazel Atherton for organising!
"And a big thank you to Donna and Nick at Cafe Jericho for hosting us!
"A good 250 items of uniform and shoes were re-gifted today at least. Thanks to everyone who has given us uniform over the past few weeks.
"We're back at Victoria Hall this Sunday doing it all again! If you would like to gift any uniform, coats bags, shoes, toys or books then get in touch."
Anyone who has any items they would like to donate can take them to the event or donate beforehand by calling Jo on 07748 067 169.
