Seven drivers caught speeding on a busy Hadfield road will receive letters of advice from police.
The Hadfield Community Speed Watch team were back on Newshaw Lane between 1.55pm and 2.55pm on Thursday afternoon (19 August).
The speed limit at the location is 30 miles per hour.
During the hour, a total of 138 vehicles went by the team in both directions. Of these, seven were recorded driving at a speed in excess of 35 mph and above.
Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said the owners and registered keepers of the vehicles will receive letters.
A spokesperson added: "Well done and thank you to the two volunteers who completed the event today.
"Our volunteers are concerned citizens prepared to invest time in educating those who don't understand the dangers of speeding. They must not be perceived or treated as the police’s little helpers; vigilantes, policing on the cheap, or war on motorists."
