Several stranded motorists had to be rescued from the Goyt Valley on Sunday night (18 December).
Buxton Mountain Rescue Team were called out just after 5.30pm to assist police, the Peak 4x4 Response and the AA.
In icy and hazardous conditions, the occupants of the first vehicle were walked to Fernilee car park and the awaiting Mountain Rescue vehicles and Peak 4x4 response.
A second group of rescuers walked on foot to a second stranded vehicle on the road heading to Pym’s Chair car park.
The family were given some food and water, before being walked back to the Mountain Rescue vehicles.
