A group of walkers enjoying the early spring sunshine above Deep Dale found themselves stranded on the steep ground above the valley on Sunday afternoon (20 March).
Rather than risk a slip or fall, the group decided to call out Buxton Mountain Rescue Team for assistance.
A rope system was established to protect both team members and the walkers whilst they were lowered to safer ground.
Members of Edale Mountain Rescue Team also went to the aid of a climber who had injured their wrist and lower leg in a fall on Sunday afternoon.
The injured climber was helped at the scene, before being carried to a waiting vehicle and taken to hospital.
