Women and girls across Derbyshire are being urged to take part in a national survey that will be used to help improve policing.
It focuses on their experiences of crimes which more commonly affect them and what they think would improve police support.
Bring run by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) the survey is open until 9 August.
Derbyshire Constabulary’s Chief Constable Rachel Swann said: “As the National Police Chief’s Council’s lead for Gender, I know there are gender-specific issues which must be considered if policing is to meet the needs of everyone in our communities.
“Recent cases both nationally and closer to home have ignited a conversation about the safety of women and girls in our society.
“This is a conversation we welcome and there is work going on in Derbyshire and many other forces across the country to ensure we are doing all we can to protect people.
“The opinions of women and girls are vital in helping us to target our efforts where they will make the most difference.”

A second survey, also being run by HMICFRS, is asking for feedback from victims and survivors of rape. This survey is open to people of any gender and can be found at https://www.homeofficesurveys.homeoffice.gov.uk/s/ERG2207/
