Glossop Heritage Trust is holding an open evening to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the dedication of Glossop and Hadfield Cenotaphs.
The talk is free and all are welcome.
On Sunday 26 March 1922, unveiling ceremonies took place first at Glossop and straight after in Hadfield.
Both Cenotaphs are identical. A stone base with bronze tablets records the names of those who lost their lives. On top is a winged figure of Victory holding a laurel wreath.
Board Director Nigel Dunkerley will be giving a talk about the memorials, and the debates which preceded them and the actual dedication itself.
The talk - which was postponed in March - will take place on Wednesday 22 June at 7.30pm at the new venue of Central Methodist Church, on Chapel Street in Glossop.
