A teenager has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision between a van and a pedestrian in Glossop.
Emergency services were called to Victoria Street, at the junction with Collier Street, at 9.45am on Wednesday morning (19 May).
Police say the collision involved a Citreon Berlingo van and a 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson also confirmed that paramedics had taken a male to hospital following a 999 call at 9.46am, reporting a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian.
The road was closed for a period but reopened at 10.35am.
