A Glossop woman has become a sensation after drawing colourful cartoons of a cat.
Nicola Worswick works for Derbyshire County Council as a support worker. She helps adults who have learning difficulties.
She started drawing her cartoons when the UK went into lockdown last year.
Nicola told us: "I started them at the start of lockdown to make people laugh through the difficult times. I run a good news and funny picture and video group on Facebook and noticed people were joining and engaging with the group more. There are many cat lovers on the group and the funny stuff I posted was popular.
“Due to the popularity of them I decided to create a series, called Marge and Mitch, featuring Mitch, the cat and his long-suffering owner Marge. They are single panel comics of one picture as they tend to be more engaging on websites and social media.
"People don't always have time to read a comic strip. A cat page on Facebook recently shared my comic and it got 11k likes, 180 comments and 4.4k shares. I used to write children's books, after completing and publishing seven books I decided to concentrate on illustrating.”
Nicola says she is delighted with the reaction to her Marge and Mitch cartoons so far.
