The Great Glossop Book Giveaway

A Glossop bookshop is inviting certified bookworms to pick up free books to see you through the summer.

People can pay a visit to George Street Community Bookshop on Saturday 22 May from 9am to 5pm.

The store will be giving away some surplus stock and making room for new stock.

They said on their Facebook page: "We are looking to reopen the upstairs of our shop sometime end of May early June, but we have a number of books that are excess to our requirements! Rather than just throw them out we think there will be many some of you may like so we are doing our big book giveaway.

"On Saturday 22nd May we will have these books in boxes outside the shop and these books will be free! Any donations would be gratefully received but not necessary. One day only!"
