
Masks are again a requirement on public transport and in shops in response to the Omicron variant of Covid-19 being identified.
In the High Peak, the most recent figures available have revealed that the number of Covid cases in the borough saw a 9.2 per cent fall.
According to Public Health England data, the rate is 362.7 cases per 100,000 people for the seven days up to 24 November.
The figure across Derbyshire also fell by a small amount to 424.4 cases per 100,000 people.
Across the High Peak Borough Council area, there were 336 cases of Covid, a fall of 34, while across the county cases fell by 28 to 3,426.
In neighbouring Tameside, the figures for the same period have also seen a fall to 389.7 cases per 100,000 with 885 cases, a fall of 52, or 5.5 per cent.
Vaccination figures, which go up to and include 28 November, show that in the High Peak 88 per cent of adults and children aged 12 and over have received their first dose, with 81.6 per cent having also had their second dose.
In Derbyshire the figure is slightly lower with 87.8 per cent for the first dose and 81.5 per cent the second.
In Tameside 77.9 per cent of people aged 12 and over have had their first dose and 72.1 per cent the second.
