Voting is now open to pick the regional winners in the Countryside Alliance Awards and three local businesses are in the running.
The Awards are an annual celebration of British food and farming, enterprise, and heritage through small hard-working businesses.
In the Midlands region, The Bridge Bakehouse in Whaley Bridge has been shortlisted in the Local Food/Drink category while Buxton butchers, Geoff Mycock & Sons, have been shortlisted in the Local Butcher category.
While in the North of England region, Lymefield Garden Centre in Broadbottom is competing in the Rural Enterprise category.
The trio are among the 128 businesses selected to be put to the vote from 18,000 nominations.
The Countryside Alliance said: “Each of our finalists were chosen for their passion and dedication to what they do and their inclusion as a finalist.”
Details on how to vote are available on the Countryside Alliance website at www.countryside-alliance.org/our-work/rural-awards/caawards/how-to-vote
Voting will close on Sunday 5 March, with the winners announced in the spring.
