Three T-shirts designed by iconic fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood are to be auctioned next week.
The lot includes a vintage T-shirt with a political message.
The shocking pink T-shirt, which bears the slogan ‘I am not a terrorist, please don’t arrest me’ on a red heart, was released in 2005 to raise money for human rights group Liberty.
The other T-shirts feature a cream cotton floral design/VW Orb logo and a multi-striped T-shirt edged in royal blue. All display original labels and tags.
All three items will go under the hammer at Hansons’ June 1 Decorative Arts Auction and have been given an estimate of between £120-£150.
Westwood, who was born in Tintwistle, died in December 2022 at the age of 81.
She is seen as being largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream.
