Tintwistle competition winners receive awards

The winners of the Tintwistle 2021 Annual Scarecrow and Flower Power competitions have been presented with their awards.

The ceremony was held at the recent Parish Council Meeting.

The presentations were made by Cllr Marianne Stevenson, Chairperson of the council, and Cllr Shaun Grace, who organised the competitions.

£270 was raised from the events, which was presented to Dave Savage, Regional Manager of Dark & White Peak of the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.

Meanwhile, Hollie Fisher, Living Landscapes Adviser, Dark Peak, also of the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, has produced a comprehensive survey and plan, Rewilding Management Plan 2021 - 2071 for Tintwistle Quarry.

Tintwistle is the first Parish Council to sign up to the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust Wild Peak Network.
