Whether you enjoy a challenging hike or a casual stroll, the High Peak caters to a diverse range of preferences.

  • Lantern Pike:

Starting from Hayfield, the ascent to Lantern Pike offers a rewarding hike with stunning views. The trail takes you through meadows and woodlands before going up the hill. Once at the top, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscapes, including Kinder Scout and the Cheshire Plain.

  • Kinder Scout:

For those wanting a challenge, a walk up Kinder Scout, the highest point in the Peak District, is an absolute must. The rugged terrain and panoramic views make this trek a favourite among hikers. The journey to the summit provides walkers with gritstone edges, cascading waterfalls, and vast expanses of heather, creating a visual feast for all who embark on this adventure.

  • Sett Valley Trail:

The Sett Valley Trail is a flat path that follows the course of the River Sett. Starting in New Mills and stretching to Hayfield, this trail is perfect for a leisurely walk for a family. It's the ideal route no matter what your ability. The path takes you through woodlands, meadows and alongside the river.

  • The Millennium Walkway:

Connecting the towns of New Mills and Marple, the Millennium Walkway is a trail that takes you across the Goyt Valley. The walkway is suspended above the Goyt River and provides views of the surrounding countryside. The contrast between the modern walkway and the natural beauty of the valley creates a unique experience.

  • Lose Hill and Win Hill:

For those who want a moderate trek with rewarding views, the Lose Hill and Win Hill circuit is perfect. The trail takes you through woodlands, grassy slopes, and along the edges of these two prominent hills. Enjoy trekking alongside the panoramic views of the Ladybower Reservoir and the Hope Valley.
