Two friends from Glossop are swimming around Windermere this week to raise money for Willow Wood Hospice.
Former boxer Peter Flanagan, who suffers from dementia, and his friend Alex Cooper are taking on the challenge from Friday 10 June.
Peter has never shied away from a challenge whilst raising money for charities for causes close to his heart.
Peter has already taken on the challenges of sky diving, abseiling, running marathons and trekking the Great Wall of China.
The two men want to raise essential funds for Willow Wood Hospice that provides essential services to people with life limiting conditions.
Peter’s sister Christine died recently after a battle with cancer, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Peter told us: "Willow Wood provided care that was second to none, we’d like to thank them for everything and support them by asking you to sponsor us in completing the tough, daunting task we have set themselves of swimming across Windermere.”
