A walker and a fell runner both needed rescuing from Kinder at the weekend.
On Sunday a man out walking his dog slipped and badly injured his knee. In significant pain he managed to make his way to an area that had mobile reception in order to make the call for help.
Members of Kinder Mountain Rescue Team were able to drive their off-road vehicles to Edale Cross to allow them to get to him quickly. The injured man was carried on a stretcher to a waiting ambulance in Coldwell Clough.
On Saturday evening a fell runner needed assistance after he slipped and broke his torch.
Finding it increasingly difficult to navigate in the dark and mist he called for assistance.
He was fortunately in an area with good mobile coverage, so members of Kinder MRT were able to pinpoint his location using PhoneFind technology.
He was found cold but uninjured and was walked back down the hill.
