Two mountain bikes stolen in Chapel

Two high-value mountain bikes have been stolen during two burglaries at different properties in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

They happened sometime overnight between Saturday 6 March and Sunday 7 March.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or people and has CCTV footage - in particular around Netherfield Road and Becketts Wood, where the bikes were stolen from - to get in touch.

PC Gareth Podmore, of the local policing team, said: "I would always urge people who are concerned about any suspicious vehicles, or persons acting suspiciously for example looking into gardens houses or cars, and believe that a crime has either been committed or might be committed to ring 999 and call us, and let us check it out."

People who can help should contact PC 2427 Podmore, quoting reference number 21*125376, via the following methods:

• Facebook – send a private message to /DerbyshireConstabulary

• Twitter – direct message the contact centre on @DerPolContact

• Website – complete the online contact form at www.derbyshire.police.uk/Contact-Us

• Phone – call 101.
