Glossop's heroes of the hills were required to help two men who had become crag fast on a rocky outcrop in Nether Red Brook at Kinder Scout Northern Edge over the weekend.
Glossop Mountain Rescue Team got the call at 2.35pm on Saturday afternoon (20 March), with the team's fast party making their way in from Snake Summit and heading across Feather Bed Moss.
In total, 26 members were involved for nearly three hours.
A spokesperson said: "On reaching the two casualties, a quick assessment was carried out and the decision was taken to set up a confidence rope line so that the pair could assist themselves down the very steep ground.
"Following a debrief at the team’s control vehicle, the two males were then driven back to their car at Birchen Clough car park."
Glossop MRT is also reminding people not to block gates, after someone parked their vehicle in the gateway on Saturday which blocked a "significant number" of team members from assisting with the incident.
They added: "Access might be needed to provide vital, life saving treatment."
The message was also echoed by Glossop Police's Safer Neighbourhood Team, who said: "Keep access clear, you never know when you may need help from emergency services. Thanks to Glossop Mountain Rescue - a fantastic group of volunteers who help out when people are in need of specialised rescue."
GMRT - which receives no direct government funding - is continuing to appeal for donations to help ensure its volunteers can continue to turn out day and night to rescue people in wild and remote places.
