Motorists are being warned that a section of a busy road in Hayfield will be closed overnight for almost three weeks.
The A624 Chapel Road will be closed for a distance of 400m between the road bridge over Swallowhouse Lane and the junction with A6015 New Mills Road.
The closure will be from 9pm to 7am each night between 31 August and 17 September.
It's to facilitate the refurbishment of the bridge.
Derbyshire County Council say access will be maintained whenever reasonably possible and the road will reopen as soon as the work is finished, which may be earlier than planned.
The authority has also apologised for any inconvenience caused whilst work is taking place.
Further information about the closure can be obtained by ringing Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
