Warning about road closure in Hadfield

People are being warned about a road closure in Hadfield which could lead to some delays to journeys.

Shaw Lane is closed again between the junctions of Brookfield and Dinting Road.

It's due to be shut for the rest of the week.

The closure is to allow for electrical works, which were due to be carried out in December but had to be put back after the road was closed for 18 days due to emergency works to repair multiple gas leaks.

Access is being maintained for local residents where possible.

An alternative route for motorists is via Dinting Vale, High Street West, Norfolk Street, Talbot Road, Dinting Road, Ashes Lane and Shaw Lane, and vice versa.

The 237 Stagecoach bus is also being diverted in both directions via Green Lane, Higher Barn Lane, Hadfield Road to Woolley Bridge.
