Walkers are being urged to ensure they take waterproofs and wear the correct footwear after the latest call-out for Edale Mountain Rescue Team.
Two walkers were found to be suffering from mild hypothermia when they were rescued by team members after becoming lost while out walking on Saturday (12 February).
The pair were on Stanage Edge and were eventually found sheltering in a derelict brick hut.
They were given warm dry clothing, and after a further assessment, they were able to walk off with the aid of team members.
The team, made up of volunteers, are urging those venturing into the hills to make sure they are properly equipped and to check the weather forecast for the day.
This rescue could have easily turned into something far more serious if the two walkers had not been found in time, an Edale MRT spokesperson said.
