Why film crews are at Dinting train station

Film crews are in Glossopdale as work begins on a new drama commissioned by the BBC.

They are filming at Dinting Station today (Friday) for the seven-part series Everything I Know About Love, from the award-winning writer Dolly Alderton.

The series is inspired by her own funny, occasionally heart-breaking, internationally bestselling first book that topped best-seller lists when it was published in 2018.

Cameras and crew were spotted setting up at the station, although most of the action will be filmed Manchester and London. They will be filming a scene on the platform on Friday afternoon.

Crews were also spotted on Green Lane and Oakfield Road in Hadfield throughout the day.

The central love story is between two childhood best friends Maggie played by Emma Appleton and Birdy played by Bel Powley.

Everything I Know About Love produced by Working Title Television will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2022.
