Window of care home smashed

Police are investigating after a window at a care home in Buxton was smashed on Sunday night.

Police say a rock thrown at a window of a care home in Broad Walk at around 10.45pm caused 'significant damage'.

There were no residents in the room beyond when the window was shattered.

Witnesses have told police that a man was seen running along Broad Walk towards West Road at the time.

Buxton's Safer Neighbourhood Team are searching for the person responsible and appealing for information.

They would like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage and was driving in the area at the time in particular.
