Winners of Christmas Card competition announced by MP Jon Pearce

High Peak’s MP Jon Pearce has announced the winners of his Christmas card competition. Schools from across High Peak have been sending in entries from pupils across the age ranges.

The theme was “where I live” and Jon asked children to represent what makes them proud to live in the High Peak.

The winner of the Reception/Year 1 age group was Poppy of St Margaret’s RC Primary School in Glossop.

The Year 2/3 age group winner was Ava of All Saint’s Primary School in Glossop.

Jon Pearce said: “We received lots of really creative entries and some great designs. I’m so proud of the talented pupils we have in High Peak but Poppy and Ava’s entries really stood out, It was great to meet them and present them with their certificates and a sweet box courtesy of Swizzles in New Mills.”

“This competition has showcased the brilliant talent and creativity that we possess in in the High Peak. Thanks to everyone that took part and have a great Christmas!”
