Work on Neighbourhood Plan in Whaley Bridge reaches milestone

The team behind creating a neighbourhood plan for Whaley Bridge have reached another milestone.

A list of local green spaces that will be put forward has now been completed, as part of the process being overseen by the Vision4Whaley group.

These are places that local people want to keep as open spaces due to their recreational or historical value or the beauty and tranquillity they offer.

The full list of the 17 sites chosen includes sports fields, woods, gardens, and woodland is available at www.vision4whaley.org.uk.

There is also information about those areas that did not get included in the final list and the reasons why.

With the finishing touches currently being made to the Neighbourhood Plan, it is due to be shared with the community in February when residents will be asked for their comments.
