Work begins this week on a project that will see a new clubhouse built at Tintwistle Cricket Club.
Plans were passed in the summer to replace the existing outdated wooden pavilion with a modern, light, and user-friendly club house space and provide upgraded changing facilities for players and umpires.
The first stage of the plan is to build site access from Speedwell Close, then strip out, demolish, and remove the old building and groundworks ahead of the new build.
The club have written to residents of Speedwell Close to keep them up to date and are keen to let everyone in the local area know what is happening.
Marking the historic first step on a new chapter for the club those involved are keen to ensure any disruption is minimal and will be working closely with all of the trades.
Anyone with any questions or concerns can contact the club at TintwistleCricketClub@hotmail.com
The club aims to have the build completed in the Spring/Summer of 2022.
