Police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was assaulted by a group of youths near a supermarket in Glossop.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary said the force was called to a report of a 'disturbance' close to the Lidl store off Mill Street in the town, shortly before 8.30pm on Monday evening (26 July).
It's believed that the youths approached the victim and assaulted him. They had left the area by the time police arrived.
Officers also believe the youths filmed the attack on their mobile phones to post on social media.
Police say enquiries are ongoing and they are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
