North West Counties First Division North Chadderton 3-2 St Helen's Town
Chadderton came from behind twice to earn a hard fought 3-2 victory over St Helen's Town at the Ark Fleetech Stadium.
The visitors took the lead in the 18th minute through Morgan Onuh, but were on level terms just five minutes later when Joseph Richards equalised for the hosts.
St Helen's reasserted their lead ten minutes into the second half when Louis Sharp converted, but Chaddy showed their fighting spirit for a second time as Ben Matthews drew matters level int he 65th minute.
And the comeback was complete four minutes later, as Leon Iluobe grabbed his first of the season to give David Fish's side a deserved three points.
Following the game, Fish tweeted the following:
Great to start the season with 3 points. Performance not great today but to come from behind twice shows the character in the squad.
