Christmas Concert for Royton hospice

Dr Kershaw’s Hospice is having an evening of festive fun and fundraising on Wednesday 18 December.

It's their annual Christmas Concert, which is taking place at Oldham Parish Church on Rock Street in the town centre from 6:30pm on the night.

The evening will be compared by hospice Trustee, Peter Wakefield and Musical Director of Kershaw’s Crooners, Paul Firth.

Performances on the evening will be provided by Hope Singers, The Crompton House School Brass Ensemble, Thornham St James’ Primary School Choir, Students from Chetham’s School of Music and Kershaw’s Crooners along with sing-alongs for all the family to enjoy.

Tickets for the Christmas concert are available directly from the Hospice, all Dr Kershaw’s shops and on the door for those who wish to purchase tickets.

Adults tickets are priced at £7, concession tickets are £5 and family tickets (two adults and two children) are priced at just £18 with all proceeds going to patient care.

This year’s festive concert will also feature a toy stall with a range of brand-new toys for people to pick up any last minute Christmas presents, a raffle with some fantastic prizes including a hamper fully stocked with Christmas goodies and a stall packed with hospice goods for concert goers to pick up any last minute cards, diaries and Christmas crackers.

“Our annual Christmas Concert is the perfect way to get into the festive spirit this Christmas whilst supporting the work that the hospice does in the community!” said Event Co-ordinator, Grace Carr.
